I really like reading you =) .. I’m a new blogger and I'm confused u_u, all webpages talk about making money for hosting videos, but not all of them are good and I have a lot of ideas. My cousin recommended me to visit (vismomedia.com) , he said I’ts a good webpage for bloggers. What’s your opinion ¿?

Hey Wade,

Disappointed we didn't get to meet up more at ASW. I had a lot of questions about things.

The brunch was cool, but not a good venue for networking. It was bar room style with too loud music and too dark lights. Great food though. I enjoyed visiting with Jim Kukral over breakfast.

People tell me being good is hard. I think that's funny and I tell them that it's not once you truly commit. These are only hard choices if all we see is the here and now of the world. When we see the world that cycles, it makes the choices easier. :)

Good advice. Sounds like it was a great speech.

I have to admit I saw that quote about newspapers being passed around Twitter yesterday as well and it made me laugh then and now. It's a good one! :) Hopefully they won't totally disappear as many senior citizens haven't made the jump to the internet. I know how much they would miss their daily paper. :)

I was lucky enough to be able to watch this live online. It was a great speech. I liked when he said "What I believe in is *family first*. Build a business that allows you to spend time with family." and "There's another word *nobody* likes in the biz world.... PATIENCE" So true.

To their credit - Las Vegas Perks came back within an hour, thanked me for the advice and let me know that they had pulled the banners with toll free #'s - good choice guys.

Wow, some affiliate managers just don't get that they aren't going to attract quality affiliates when they have banners like that and huge phone numbers blasted on the site with no tracking. I'd like to see a network step up and require tracking on all phone orders. Great post!

Excellent advice! I made a simple change to how my permalinks were done, not realizing I would be generating massive 404 errors for myself for months to come. PTL I caught it fairly early. DoshDosh's website has some excellent advice for that particular problem at http://www.doshdosh.com/how-to-survive-a-catego... . In addition to that advice, I also needed Scott Yang's plugin per the advice I found here in Annmari's comment - http://www.deanlee.cn/wordpress/the-problem-abo... - . You can go directly to Scott's site at http://svn.fucoder.com/fucoder/permalink-redire.... That site has the updated version I needed for my particular theme :)

One last thing I realized was that I could redo my 404 page to be much more useful- to the reader and to my goals. I changed it once. During an upgrade the change was lost. So one of my New Year's goals is to redo it to reflect my site's personality, with links back to my main page, my search site, and a list of some of my best posts. That way, when someone does land on a 404 page, hopefully they'll enjoy it and look at other pages rather than just hit the back button.
